Hi.
This is my personal section of the site where I'll put up things about me that will be of interest to people. Which means it'll be a fairly short page then. But here are some recent developments:

PhD update

For months I left this page unaltered and blamed the fact that I was writing the corrections to my doctoral thesis whilst working full-time. I'm chuffed to say that I have now completed all the changes and had them verified, so I have now officially passed! You may call me Dr Russ, and it says so on my driver's license. The thesis is titled

"Robust backstepping control of nonlinear uncertain systems"

I'll put a copy of it on the website soon. It's also my graduation soon - photos from that will go up when I get them

For the first time in 10 years I don't have any exams to study for or theses to write, and to be truthful I'm lost. So I've taken up night school classes at the local university and am studying Spanish. This is also mainly because I want to cadge holidays abroad. Glenn is living the good life in Mexico, although his Spanish seems to be limited due to everyone speaking to him in English. Also, Rache is still in Barcelona and maybe when I visit her again I can do some of the ordering of food! This time next year, maybe even a GCSE...
